Located on the east shore of Tomales Bay - indisputably the largest unspoiled coastal bay on the California coast - Nick’s Cove is a paradise for outdoor recreation, inspired by the rich marine and wildlife of the bay, nearby Point Reyes National Seashore, Bodega Bay, and the Pacific Ocean, just a few miles to the north.

Legendary Highway 1 follows Tomales Bay's eastern contours, past weathered oyster farms, dairy and cattle ranches, and the tiny outposts of Marshall and Marconi. The west shore of the bay, via Sir Francis Drake Highway, passes through Tomales Bay State Park and Point Reyes National Seashore.

From either side of the bay, you'll find access to scenic trails leading to the bay where you can enjoy a picnic, hiking, beachcombing, and star-gazing.

The bay's relatively shallow waters -averaging 12' deep - secluded coves, beautiful beaches, and wildlife make it a mecca for kayakers, sailors, and pleasure boaters.

At Tomales Bay's northernmost point, the bay opens to Bodega Bay, providing a natural buffer from the colder, choppier waters of the Pacific Ocean, and serving as a hub for fishing and boating activity.
