Design

The restaurant, designed by Pat Kuleto, is where the Nick's experience starts as one pulls on the pitch fork that opens the oversized front door to behold the original 20' long mahogany bar that was the centerpiece of Nick's for decades now restored to its original glory. Nick's Shellfish Bar, a focal point of white Carerra marble and antique barstools provides a display of shellfish as well as a communal table for guests to dine.

Wherever possible Kuleto salvaged and recycled the original woodwork of Nick's Cove and has used it to rebuild the Tulle Deck and Boat Shack. The Boat Shack, situated at the end of Nick's pier, one of the longest piers on Tomales Bay, provides ringside seats for sunset.
